Dr. Avi Katz
Chairman of the Board
Founder, Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of GigOptix, Inc. Dr. Avi Katz has served as the Chairman of the board of directors, Chief Executive Officer & President of GigOptix LLC since inception in May 2007 and through its public offering in December 2007. Previously, Dr. Katz served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of iTerra Communications LLC, Intransa Inc., from 2003 to 2005, and Equator Technologies Inc., from 2000 to 2003. Earlier he served in various sales, marketing and operational executive positions following his tenure service as a Member of the Technical Staff in AT&T Bell Labs, Murray Hill, NJ, between 1988 and 1995. Dr. Katz is active in philanthropy and among others serves as a board member for the Israeli Venture Network (IVN), a NFP social philanthropy network. He holds more than 70 U.S. and international patents, has published approximately 300 technical papers and is the editor of a number of technical books. Dr. Katz received his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the Technion-IIT, Israel, and is a graduate of the Israeli Naval Academy. |

Kimberly D.C. Trapp
Director
Kimberly D.C. Trapp has more than 23 years of experience in the optoelectronics industry. She is currently Industry Liaison Officer for the Center of Optical Technologies at Lehigh University. Before joining Lehigh University, she served as the Director of Marketing Operations of Agere Systems and was responsible for business operations, customer marketing, technical product support, product engineering, and program management of Agere's optoelectronic business and product portfolio. She earlier served in the development organizations of AT&T Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies. |

Neil J. Miotto
Director
Neil J. Miotto joined the GigOptix Board of Directors in December, 2008. Mr. Miotto is a financial consultant and a retired assurance partner of KPMG LLP where he was a partner for twenty-seven years until his retirement in September 2006. While at KPMG, Mr. Miotto also served as an SEC reviewing partner. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baruch College, of The City University of New York. He also serves on the board of directors of Micrel, Inc. |

Frank W. Schneider
Director
Frank W. Schneider has over 40 years of experience in the electronics and semiconductor industries, serving on the boards and executive management teams of both privately held and publicly traded companies. He recently retired from MKS Instruments Inc., where he served as vice president and general manager and continues to provide consulting services. Previously, he served as president and CEO at both ION Systems Inc., a privately held manufacturer of electrostatic management systems, and GHz Technology Inc., a privately held manufacturer of RF power transistors that was merged into Advanced Power Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: APTI), where he served as COO of the RF products group. Additionally, he was a member of the technical advisory board of Neomagic Inc., a display controller chip company, and was a member of the Board of Directors of GMT Microelectronics, Inc. He began his career at Corning Electronics and subsequently moved to Philips Semiconductor, then known as Signetics Corporation, where he held many senior positions during his tenure. He also was a group vice president at Sharp Electronics.

John J. Mikulsky
Director
John J. Mikulsky most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Endwave Corporation since December 1, 2009. From May 1996 until November 2009, Mr. Mikulsky served Endwave in a multitude of capacities beginning with the Vice President of Product Development, and culminating as Endwave’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to his work at Endwave, Mr. Mikulsky worked as a Technology Manager for Balazs Analytical Laboratory, from 1993 until 1996, a provider of analytical services to the semiconductor and disk drive industries. Prior to 1993, Mr. Mikulsky worked at Raychem Corporation, most recently as a Division Manager for its Electronic Systems Division. Mr. Mikulsky holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Marquette University, an M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University and an S.M. in Management from the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With his extensive industry knowledge and experience in both technical and leadership roles, including his nearly 14 years at Endwave as a Vice President and an Officer, Mr. Mikulsky now sits on our Board of Directors.

Joseph J. Lazzara
Director
Joseph J. Lazzara most recently served as a director of Endwave since February 2004. From September 2006 to March 2008, Mr. Lazzara served as the Vice Chairman and a director of Omron Scientific Technologies, Inc. (formerly known as Scientific Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: STIZ)), a manufacturer of machine safeguarding products and automation sensors acquired by Omron Corporation in September 2006. Prior to the acquisition of Scientific Technologies, Mr. Lazzara served as the Chief Executive Officer between June 1993 and September 2006, as the President of Scientific Technologies between 1989 and 2006 and as the Treasurer and a director of Scientific Technologies between 1984 and 2006. Mr. Lazzara also served as a Vice President of Scientific Technologies between September 1984 and June 1989. From 2006, Mr. Lazzara also serves as the Vice Chairman and Director of Automation Products Group, Inc., a privately held manufacturer of automation sensors. He also served as Treasurer and a director of Scientific Technologies' parent company, Scientific Technology Incorporation, from 1981 and 2006. Prior to 1981, Mr. Lazzara was employed by Hewlett-Packard Company, a global technology solutions provider, in Process and Engineering Management. Mr. Lazzara received a B.S. in Engineering from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.

David (Tom) T. Mitchell

Mr. Mitchell has over 33 years of experience in the electronics and semiconductor industries, while founding and co-founding two of the biggest manufacturing names in the industry. Currently, Mr. Mitchell is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Fabrinet (NYSE: FN) for which he established the company vision of striving through manufacturing excellence and customer focus to be the very best manufacturing outsourcing solution for complex optical, industrial and automotive products. Mr. Mitchell was also a co-founder and president of Seagate Technology, a leading disk drive company, and formerly Thailand’s largest foreign employer. Mr. Mitchell is widely considered a pioneering force in the establishment of Asia as the pre-eminent manufacturing base for the hard disk drive industry. Mr. Mitchell has successfully established high quality, high volume, and low cost manufacturing bases in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, India and China. Mitchell received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Montana State University. He has also served as Captain in the U.S. Marine Corp.
