Fujinon Techno Stabi TS-12×28 Features

The TS-12×28’s are compact, lightweight at just 14.9 ounces, weather-resistant and easy to use. They have a slightly long eye relief of 17.5mm, an Exit Pupil of 2.5mm, 28mm objective lens, 12 power magnification, and a viewing angle of 4.2 degrees.

Body

The durable body is made up of fiberglass-reinforced, high durability plastic, and rubber-coated. It’s designed to protect the optics and prevent dirt or dust from sticking to the optical elements and comes with a case and a comfortable neck strap.

The twist-up eyecups work very smoothly and are sized right, even while wearing glasses.

Prisms

Fujinon quality is clearly evident in their choice to use Phase-corrected BK-7 roof prisms in the main body and BaK-4 Porro prisms in the eyepieces to allow for adjusting of the interpupillary distance through the 55mm to 75mm. The phase-coated BAK4 Roof Prisms are made of superior optical glass to produce great brightness and contrast to give you clearer images.

Fujinon Techno Stabi Ts12x28 Image Stabilization BinocularStabilization

The TS 12X28 uses Optical Stabilized Binoculars eliminates those headaches whether you’re in the air, on land or out on the water. With image stabilization of ±3°, they will lock in on the subject to create a stabilized field of vision at 12x magnification.

How they do this is through the use of two piezo gyro vibration sensors (one each for vertical and horizontal axes) for detecting repetitive and/or cyclical movements. Then, to detect binocular direction, it uses another pair of gyro sensors (again, one each for vertical and horizontal axes). Next, a microprocessor takes the inputs from these sensors and controls direct drive motors to instantaneously provide correcting movements to the prisms mounted in a dual-gimbaled frame.

Focus

With just the use of one finger, you’ll be able to quickly and easily bring your target into sharp focus using the precise center focus wheel.

Power

Don’t you wish you could count on all of your batteries to last up to 12 hours? The TS 12X28 can run for up to 12 hours with the supplied Cr2 lithium battery. And just in case you forget to switch off the image stabilization, there’s an automatic off function to power down after 10 minutes, saving you battery life.

Image Quality

Just like its’ bigger brother, the TS 14×40, the optics are impressive. They are super sharp in the center and very sharp all the way out to the edges. They’re bright, considering the small exit pupil, and deliver high contrast, bright views. Thanks to the fully multi-coated optics and phase-corrected prisms you’re guaranteed true colors, and freedom from glare, flare and ghosting.

  • Long-lasting Cr2 lithium battery
  • Lightweight and compact
  • Weather-resistant
